RTA Advice, Driving in Critical Weather-conditions

With the weather prevailing in recent days, the RTA  in the Emirates provided advice in critical weather-conditions. First and very important, follow weather reports. Drivers must follow weather reports regularly. In order to obtain accurate information about expected weather conditions and possible weather warnings. Secondly, avoid driving in difficult weather conditions. If bad weather conditions are expected, such as sandstorms or heavy-rain, you should avoid driving if possible. Stay in a safe place until conditions improve. Third, use bright lighting while driving in bad weather conditions. For instance, use fog or heavy rain, in order to improve visibility and make the car visible to others.

Speed and Sand Storms

In bad weather conditions, it is necessary to slow down. This increases the stopping distance and allows instant remedy in emergency. It is important to be careful in sandstorms. In the case of sandstorms, drivers should avoid following up if possible. In the case of necessity, use protective means such as goggles, mouth  and nose covering. Not only that, but one must search for safe place that is as far-away from highway-pavements. You can park in internal roads, due to the lack of movement and increased safety. Stay away from areas flooded with water as much as possible. Avoid driving on roads flooded with water during heavy rain. Staying in a safe place until the water drained. Sometimes the roads affected by water and some things washed away. Or may be a cover of the drainage holes on the road fell. Therefore, you should avoid areas flooded with water to avoid the risk of falling into these holes. Early warning to others: By applying these tips and guideline is vital.
