Pros and Cons of Biofuels
Biofuels produced from different types of biomass including manure, crops and other resources have pros and cons. Biofuel is a promising source of energy because it is environmentally friendly. So far, the world has tended to produce fuels from clean, environmentally friendly sources. This is to reduce the world’s health problems, which seemed obvious. Undoubtedly, this type of fuel helps in the cleanliness of the environment because it depends on the recycling of various wastes. This in turn reduces the costs. However, this requires a continuous commitment to provide various waste collection devices.
The use of biofuels has many benefits, but the most important of them is that it is a permanent and renewable source. This type of fuel is a low-cost resource, so its price is lower compared to fossil fuels. So, this type of fuel requires expensive equipment and costs. On the other hand, biofuels are a type of energy with stable prices. Furthermore, they never get affected by the global prices of fossil fuels. Global fossil fuel prices still dominating the global stock exchanges for fuel. But in the near future, the opposite will happen. This is due to the tendency of most international fuel production companies to this new source, which will be a pioneer for a long or short term.
Although there are lots of pros there are some cons as well. First, companies should manufacture machines that used in the production of this fuel, which are very expensive. Moreover, large quantities of raw materials used to produce a small amount of fuel. This will leads to the emission of harmful gases to the atmosphere in turn. In order to grow many crops, it is necessary to use pesticides and chemical fertilizers. It is worth noting that food prices increased periodically.
